Padi Nitrox Diver
So you can dive, what next? Many divers find that their time underwater is limited by their computers or tables, not by the air in their cylinders. Would you like to change this?
What is it and What will I do?
Nitrox, or Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) is normal air, with extra oxygen added. This means that, for a given depth, you absorb nitrogen at a slower rate. The end result: More bottom time. This course covers the theory and practice of using EANx blends of up to 40% to increase your bottom time. There are both theory and practical components.
How long will it take?
The 2 dives necessary for this course can be conducted over a single day, provided the theory work is carried out at home. Usually we recommend one of our weekend trips to Gildenburgh water.
Where do I have to go?
Our weekend Open Water training takes place at Gildenburgh Water, near Peterborough, about 100 miles outside London
