PADI Open Water Diver Course
Congratulations on deciding to learn to dive. We are sure that you will find it an enjoyable experience. Although there is some study to be done, we find that most people are more than willing to go 'back to school' for a short period, in order to fully understand what it is we do underwater.
What is it and What will I do?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is possibly the worlds most recognised basic level diving course. The course itself is divided into 3 parts: Theory, Pool Work and Open Water. These individual sections build your knowledge and experience until you qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. This means that you and a buddy will be able to rent equipment from and go on trips with a huge number of PADI organisations worldwide.
How long will it take?
The course can take as long as you need it to. Based on your try out dive we wil suggest a schedule that we think will work for you.
By way of a guideline it is often possible to complete the Theory and Pool Work in 1 weekend, or over two weeks, 3 nights a week.
The Open Water segment of the course can easily be accomlished in an additional weekend.
Where do I have to go?
The theory sessions are delivered at our training facility, in the Shadwell Basin Activities Center and the Pool sessions are held at St Georges Pool, on the Highway, just around the corner.
